Sharing food, building connection, showing love
At Fresh Start Church, we believe no one should face hunger alone. That’s why, in partnership with His Haven, we created Curbside Connection Community Meals, a ministry dedicated to providing hot, nutritious meals and meaningful connection to our neighbors.
Twice each month, volunteers prepare meals in our Pine City commercial kitchen and deliver them to His Haven, where guests can enjoy a sit-down meal or take food home.
More Than a Meal
Curbside Connection is about more than food. It’s about presence.
Families, children, teens, and seniors experiencing food insecurity are welcomed with dignity, conversation, and care. Around every meal, relationships form, stories are shared, and hope takes root.
Through this ministry, we meet immediate physical needs while also opening doors to encouragement, prayer, and healing.
Why It Matters
We’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to serve together. This ministry strengthens the community on both sides of the table, those receiving meals and those preparing them.
As we continue this work, we rely on the prayers, presence, and partnership of people like you to keep this outreach strong and sustainable.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat… truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” - Matthew 25:35, 40
