At Fresh Start Church, our leadership team is made up of real people who love Jesus, care deeply about others, and believe church should be a place of grace, growth, and belonging.

Pastor Andy grew up in the United Methodist Church as a preacher’s kid and has spent more than 25 years serving in pastoral ministry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Houghton College and completed his Master of Divinity at Colgate Rochester Divinity School.
Andy and his wife Tina served churches across Western New York before moving to Florida in 2007, where Andy served as a hospital and hospice chaplain at Halifax Health Medical Center. During that time, Tina also built a successful career as a Neurosurgery Medical Assistant and worked with the University of Florida-Shands Hospital.
After many years in Florida, Andy and Tina felt God calling them back home to serve in pastoral ministry among the people of Upstate New York, a place they deeply love.
Andy’s heart for ministry
“To serve and lead God’s people to obediently follow Jesus Christ by studying God’s word, extending love and compassion with joy and grace, all to God’s glory and to make disciples of Jesus Christ.”
Outside of ministry, Andy enjoys good coffee, reading, drawing and painting, genealogy research, time outdoors, and the occasional well-earned nap.
Andy and Tina have been married for more than 40 years. They have three children and fifteen grandchildren spread across Arizona, West Virginia, and New York. Family time, camping, hiking, especially in the Adirondacks, and investing in the life of the church community are central to their lives.

Pastor Nicole is honored to serve as the Associate Pastor of Fresh Start Church. She is a devoted mother to her children Amanda, Derek, and Torie, and a proud grandmother, known lovingly as “Mimi”, to her grandchildren Colton, Camreigh and Oakley.
Nicole has a deep passion for helping people understand how much God loves them, no matter where they are in life or what their story looks like. Her heart for ministry is rooted in encouragement, compassion, and sharing the hope found in Jesus.
When she’s not serving at church, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and animals, fishing, kayaking, riding four-wheelers, and being outdoors. Nature is one of the places she feels most at peace.
Nicole’s vision for the church
Nicole believes in a church that works together to bring God’s Word and the love of Jesus to everyone, creating meaningful connections, worship, and fellowship along the way.
Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
